Why Mobility Matters

Mobility is a relatively new word in our modern lexicon. Once considered a term that referred to social standing, it now connotes an ability to move the body freely and easily. Can you comfortably lift your arms overhead? Can you squat? Does your back hurt?

We use mobility tools and practices in the gym to counteract the negative impacts of sitting, of over training, or poor posture, etc. We learned much of what we know from Kelly Starrett who started San Francisco CrossFit and MobilityWOD.  We also learn things everyday, watching all of you move.
