The Barbell Club is designed to maximize performance in the two competition lifts – the snatch and the clean and jerk. Enrollment provides an opportunity for athletes to dedicate time and focused attention to learning the various positions and elements of the Olympic lifts. Olympic-style weightlifting improves coordination, flexibility, strength, power and speed, enhancing athletic performance in all sports as well as functionality in life.
The Wine Country Barbell Club is open to both members and non-members. Please arrive early to warm-up, mobilize, and gear-up before class. In each class athletes can expect to snatch, clean & jerk, perform dynamic pulling drills, perform upper body strength and/or dynamic work, perform squats for strength and/or speed, and finish with abs.
Tuesdays – 5AM & 7AM
Wednesdays – 12 Noon
Thursdays – 6.30PM
$40 per month – WCCF Members
$100 per month – Non-members (includes two classes/week & one month programming)

I started Coach Corey’s Barbell Program three months ago when setting lofty goals for myself. Each month we retest, and recently I hit all the goals I had set for 2019! (200# snatch, 315# squat, and 405# deadlift). I enjoy the variety in the programming, and it has increased my confidence when it comes to CrossFit in general.
