To My WCCF Family

I had to share with you my weekend adventure: Coach Lyndsey chose to step out of her comfort zone and try a GORUCK Light event. This multi-hour experience involved “rucking” distance, high winds, heavy rain and team work. Cadre Clark ran the event, which honored the fallen from Pearl Harbor.

Coach Lyndsey earned the patch, but gained so much more!

Coach Lyndsey was Team Leader for a bit! She took on the very physical event, and finished with a smile. The only physical reward is the 3″x2″ patch, but the experience helps you push yourself. So, go out and get out of your comfort zone like Coach Lyndsey!

Sincerely,
Todd Flavin – GoRuck Devotee

What is Rucking?

RUCK•ING [VERB] Carrying a weighted pack on your back. It implies action, energy, and purpose.

In preparing this post I decided it’s time to learn more about this GoRuck business that I keep hearing about. I learned it started as a gear company by a Green Beret, but grew into a community that supports celebrating military history while getting WAY out of their comfort zone.

GoRuck events are in the WCCF future, and in 2020 your coaches will do it as a team-building event. Learn more about upcoming events here, and how you too can get WAY out of your comfort zone.
