Pose & Sledge WOD

Today a woman visited the gym from New Jersey. She is a triathlete and has been CrossFitting for 2-3 months. She said she was really skeptical of this method of training as she had done long slow distance all of her life. But, she tried it out and decreased her 1/2 marathon time by 10 minutes last month. And she is in her 50’s!

 

A member here at WCCF, Christina, raised her HDL from 52 to 70, lowered her LDL from 108 to 104, and lowered her triglcerides from 206 to 99. She attributes these changes in her blood profile to doing CrossFit and eating Paleo.

 

Finally, last week someone brought me an article called “Lose Weight to Train.” It’s about how triathletes have to choose what to do first when tri season hits, as they can’t achieve both objectives through the same means.  The authors of that article clearly don’t know about CrossFit where you can lose weight, lean out and make strength gains all at once. We know it works, and maybe someone should give them a call!

5 Dumbell hang power cleans
10 Walking lunges
1 buddy drag from 1 side door to the other (rower door to office door outside)
1 reverse buddy drag back
