Social Calendar Updates and Reminders

  • How about another hike tonight at Westwood Hills? I’ll be there at 6:30 pm.
  • Lisa Henry and I have decided that we’re going to participate in a 100 Day Burpee Challenge! This challenge will begin on Monday September 9, and will consist of doing 1 burpee for every day of the challenge: day 1 =1, day 2=2, day 3=3 and so on, and so on. At the end of the challenge, we will test out the 100 Burpees for time WOD, and see what we’ve accomplished! If you plan on joining, us, you MUST email me (emilie@winecountrycrossfit.com) by this Friday the 6th.
  • Ha! I’ve convinced one of you (yay Veronica!!) to join me in the Sprint Distance DiabloMan Triathlon on October 20th. Anyone want to join us in this epic battle up Mount Diablo? Email me if you’re up for the challenge!
  • Our own Cecile Hughes has signed up for the 10k portion of the Napa Wine Country Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K on Saturday, October 26. Anyone want to join in on the fun?? The run is at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park in St. Helena, and Cecile plans on heading up there to do a few test-runs between now and then.

We had a decent turnout for our WCCF Oxbow Happy Hour Meet-up last Wednesday, as you can see in the photo below!!! Let’s do it again next week! Let me know what day works best for you…IMG_0768

Athletes have three consecutive attempts to complete their highest 1 rep
attempt at the following three lifts:
Back Squat
Press
Deadlift

*To count as Rx, athlete must squat below parallel (hip crease below top of
knee) and Deadlift must be pulled conventional (no sumo)
