It's A New Year. Let's Set Intentions!

We set the intention that all our CrossFit friends and relatives have a safe and happy New Year. Train hard. Play hard. Party hard. Always have a designated driver! Say good bye to 2016 and hello to 2017 in the best way you know how. On our part the schedule for the next few days looks like this:


Sunday January 1, 2017 – CLOSED

Monday January 2, 2017 – 10AM CrossFit Class

Tuesday January 3, 2017 – Business as usual.



Resolutions VS Intentions

Resolutions are those things we write down on New Years Eve that we are going to change come January 2. They are often lofty, like “I will quit smoking. I will exercise everyday. I’ll get good grades. I’ll cut down on sugar, etc.” But how effective are those resolutions? According to Depak Chopra, not so much!

Intentions, on the other hand, are more effective because we set them deliberately, and keep them alive by revisiting them daily. Plus, they’re a lot more fun! Intentions keep us living in the moment as they are focused on the present. Instead of saying “I want to CrossFit six days a week” or “I want to lose 10 pounds in two months,” set the intention to move your body everyday in a way that feels good. Doesn’t that sound more enjoyable? Set intentions. Establish goals. Share your CrossFit intentions for 2017 with us next time you are in the gym! Declaring them will lift you higher.
