Today’s Member Spotlight is Beth Cunningham! You may know Beth best by her unapologetic love for all things Pork – she has some pretty great t-shirts and socks, and one of the coolest tattoos I’ve seen! In addition to her porcine love-affairs, Beth is also a dedicated and focused CrossFitter who works hard to not only be able to do the movements, but to do them with virtuosity. But what else makes Beth’s world go ’round? Let’s find out!
Occupation: Radiation Therapist at Queen of the Valley Medical Center; giving high dose radiation to cancer patients
Started CrossFit: October 2011
Why I Chose CrossFit: I lacked the discipline to maintain any kind of workout regiment on my own. I love the group setting of Crossfit and the support all the athletes give to each other. I have met so many wonderful friends in the two years I have been coming to WCCF and although I have so many goals to still achieve, I have overcome so many fears and accomplished things I never thought I would ever even attempt. This is all with the help and encouragement of my coaches and fellow athletes.
Other Hobbies: I love to cook!! I enjoy creating meals to share with friends and family and have very much enjoyed embracing the Paleo lifestyle. Plus any “diet” that loves bacon as much as I do is a must!!
Go-to WOD Song: I don’t have a go-to WOD song but I will admit I love me some 2 Chainz, thanks Rodrigo!! Anything that is louder than my breathing I am all for!!
You’ve come such a long way, Beth, and we know that you’ll continue to have success with achieving your goals!!
