Posers, Paddling, Handstands/L-Sits

By: 0

A few weekends ago Ryan and I were posers. That’s right, posers! You know, the kind of people who pretend to do something instead of actually do it. We posed as paddlers out on the Napa River for the first shot, and in the 300 get-up that is sponsored/promoted by Bottle Rock for the 2nd shot. 300.boats

Just so you know that we are not totally posers, we are actually inviting you to go out for a paddle. That’s right, get your feet wet, learn how to hold a paddle, and learn how to effectively move the boat forward. And, it’s paddling with a goal in mind; The Great Russian River Race.

The Great Russian River Race is Saturday May 4th, and is a fun community event that raises money to protect the watershed. They offer a 5 mile and a 15 mile course, and it is all good fun. Costumes, hilarity, camaraderie and humor can all be yours, simply by signing up for this fun event.

I know what you’re thinking, that paddling is for those “other” people. Well, it is for you too. Xfit makes you strong and capable, so you can do anything off the couch, including paddle 5 miles on the Russian river in May. In addition, if you plan to be out on the water this summer, perhaps on the family vacation in Wisconsin, wouldn’t it be cool to wow cousin Johnnie with your cool new paddling skills!

Sign up for this race, and I’ll take you out on the Napa River for some training sessions pre-race, so you are armed with good tips on how to effectively paddle forward.

PS. I actually know how to drive the boat, which makes me NOT a poser……and I shanghaied Ryan into the whole thing, so he gets a hall pass…..
