Filthy 50!

I can’t think of too many people that want to wake up to see this announcement in their inbox.  Sorry to bring you bad news on a Monday.  Come on down and suffer out the Filthy 50.  Remember, this is one of our benchmarks for the board.  If you do it Rx’d, you are a contender to make the top 5 and have your name revered by all who pass through the WCCF doors.

I have a special relationship with the Filthy Fifty (as I imagine a lot of people do).  For two reasons.

Number 1:  when I was first introduced to CrossFit, it was by a friend who was visiting my house and showed me videos online of some of the workouts.  The first two videos I saw were “Nasty Girls” and “Filthy Fifty”.  Being male and a recent college grad, my first response was something along the lines of “pshhh, it doesn’t look that tough”….HAHAHAHA!  What I had yet to understand was that the amazing athletes I was watching simply made it look easy.

Number 2: The first time I did this WOD, took me over an hour!  I thought I was going to puke 1/3 of the way in.  It was …. special.

Come on in and give this WOD a try.  As coach Scott says: “You gotta go there sometimes”



For Time:
50 Box jump, 24/20 inch box
50 Jumping pull-ups
50 Kettlebell swings, (35/25)
Walking Lunge, 50 steps
50 Knees to elbows
50 Push press, (45 lb / 35lb)
50 Back extensions (On GHD)
50 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball
50 Burpees
50 Double unders
