Xfit in the Community, Deads, Pushes, & Pulls

Last Friday, September 23rd Coach Kris Keetch and I got 250 kids at Mt. George School squatting, jumping, lunging, running and doing push-ups! We led the kick-off meeting for the upcoming Jog-A-Thon, a fundraiser at Mt. George Elementary School.

We know that strength makes you faster, so we incentivized them to learn¬† as much as they could in our short time together.¬† Our goal was to inspire them to take their new skills home and practice them over the next month, preparing them to WIN the Jog-A-Thon. The class that does the most laps around the school yard in the 30 minutes wins either a pizza party, an ice cream social, or the highlight colors of the new Principal’s hair! If I was her I’d be scared as they were screaming out crazy colors and patterns for her hair!

The event was supported by many volunteer parents, and we could not have made it happen without them. We loved working with the kids, and wish them all the best in their Jog-A-Thon.



Deadlift: find 5RM

10 Rounds:
10 Supine Ring Pull Ups (Body rows as flat to the ground as possible)
10 True Pushups
