Introducting Marina & Deads

By: 0

This good looking woman is not only a hard working CrossFitter, Buster’s mother and Coach Ryan’s wife, but she is also a licensed marriage and family therapist. She works with teens and families in Sonoma schools, and she is now branching out part-time on her own with a private practice. We applaud her courageous move.

Marina’s work,  in her own words:

“My speciality is working with teens and families, although I’ve worked with a whole range of clients- kids, teens, and adults.  I simultaneously work at a non-profit in Sonoma County where I work with at-risk youth, teens in the juvenile justice system, and families/individuals who’ve experienced abuse and trauma.  My hope is that my private practice will be a reflection of my passion for helping families function better, by giving everyone a voice and not just assuming one person (often the teenager) is the problem.  I am very much a strength-based person, and assume that all people have something they are doing well.  Sometimes my job is highlighting what is working, and then helping to elicit change in the areas where they are stuck.”

Marina could not work with anyone from Wine Country CrossFit, but perhaps we can help her get the word out about the great work she does. We all know that a life well lived comes from being both physically strong and mentally grounded, and she helps build that foundation. For more info on Marina please visit her website.

Now you know she is more than a strong CrossFitter, and certainly more than just a pretty face!
