Kayaking and Strength Day
Have you wanted to learn how to paddle? Do you look out at the Napa River and think “gee, I wonder what it would be like to mess around in boats on that thing?” Or are you already a paddler and are looking for a reason to get out in a boat? Whatever the case, now is the time.
Here’s the deal: The Great Russian River Race is on May 12th, and it looks to be heaps of fun. They have a short race for the novices, or for the experts who are not trained up. And they have a longer race for the stronger and more experienced paddler. Go to their website and check it out. Looks to super, with a fun party at the finish line and cool prizes. Plus, we are supporting a good cause.
If you sign up and join the Wine Country CrossFit team you can be one of the lucky people who gets to go out paddling on the Napa River with yours truly. I know a bit about messing around in boats, and I’m sure to give you tips on how to make your boat move in a straight line, and how to be the most efficient paddler possible. We tried to do this last year, but my health was poor and we couldn’t pull it off. But this year is looking good and I look forward to paddling with as many of you as possible.
Now’s the time!
