Pecan pie is an enormous weakness of mine. I can say NO to almost every desert out there, but I start to quiver when pecan pie is on the table. Even though it’s now too sweet for me 95% of the time, there is just something so compelling about it! It did me in on Thanksgiving last month. I thought I had rebuilt my strength but I succumbed recently at a family occasion.
My inability to say NO to pecan pie led me to this great recipe! It’s not hard to make. But let’s be honest; there are a number of steps to get it done. And, you have to chill them overnight. But the results are worth it as these bars are guilt-free pecan pie!
