Meet Carlos Hagedorn
Carlos’ work makes a giant difference in the world. He started Legacy Youth Project in Napa. The Legacy educators empower at-promise youth to thrive academically and in life.
To date, they have inspired more than 300 students to improve their educational experience by excelling academically (75% increase their GPA); graduating high school (100% to date have graduated from high school), and attending college (91% matriculate into community college).
Legacy Project is also a social justice advocacy program. Their youth are transforming themselves and in turn, their own heart-work is transforming the world.
In short, Carlos is making the world a better place. He creates hope and a sense of community where often there is none. He works with middles schoolers, high schoolers, and even manages to fit in teaching at SF State University, his Alma Mater, one night a week.
