Intentions For 2013

By: 0

Happy New Year, and we hope that 2013 brings great health and abundance for all of you.

As many of you know I am a member of the Reiki community in Napa, and Reiki is a healing energy that comes from Japan which has proven helpful medically and emotionally for many people. Sunday November 6th Kali-Ki Reiki and Wisdom School is hosting a New Year Intention Setting Seminar from 10AM-1PM. It will be held in the Grand Ballroom at the Napa River Inn at the bottom of Main St. A benefit in support of Napa Valley Hospice, the cost of the seminar is $25. To register please write KaliKiWisdomSchool@gmail.com, or call 707-225-2102.

What does all this mean? That we get way more out of setting intentions than resolutions. It also means that if we set goals, they must be specific and measurable in order to reap the rewards.

Take a look at the following examples, and pick the version that you believe will get you the best results:

-I want to be a better CrossFitter, or I want to Clean & Jerk 150 by July 8, and I’ll line up the auxiliary and mobility work required to get me there?

-I want a happy and healthy family, or I will organize family dinners three times a week and two family vacations in 2013?

-I will be financially successful in 2013, or I will generate a specific amount of new business on a quarterly basis?

The intention setting seminar is for everyone, and you do not need to have prior experience with Reiki to attend.

Whatever your intentions and goals are for the New Year, we hope you have a rocking 2013!

-Beth

==============================

Good Mornings:  Ascending sets of 5
Look for the point where your 5th rep is slower than your first.  When this happens, perform 2 more sets of 5 at that weight.

Double Tabata:

8 Rounds of 20 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of rest.  This will be performed alternating, rather than 8 of the first movement followed by 8 of the second movement.

Pull Ups
Box Jumps

Your score is the round with the lowest total number of reps for each movement.
