Big News, Gymnastics and Tabata

The Big News is that Wine Country CrossFit is Moving!

 

Yesterday we signed a lease on 5300 square feet of warehouse space, on the east side of the complex we currently occupy, along the train tracks. There are higher ceilings, and big doors that open onto the tracks with a view of the hills to the east. We will start the improvements this week, and if all goes well we will move in mid to late January.

 

We thank you for your patience as we have navigated through large classes in cramped quarters. The expanded location will allow us to offer more than one class at a time, and also to host specialty classes on a regular basis such as Power and Olympic Lifting. In addition we will build a therapy room on the side. Physical Therapist Jodie Hunt of Calistoga will hold office hours one day per week, a chiropractor has expressed interest, and there will now be sports massage on premises.

Thursday’s WOD:

Gymnastics work of coaches choice

Tabata:

Complete 8 rounds at each station of 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest.  After 8 Rounds, rest 1 minute and proceed to the next movement.

Hammer Strikes (alternate hands for each round)
Push Ups
Pull Ups
Sit Ups
