Thankfulness in Life and Gymnastics

In this month of, when we highlight and focus on gratitude, I always find myself looking at my life and realizing how much I take for granted. I have a wonderful life, and am blessed in so many ways, but so often the minutiae of daily life gets in the way and I find myself focusing on what I don’t have, can’t do or don’t feel. I inevitably make a commitment to be more mindful of my blessings and practice gratefulness in life, but how to accomplish such a goal? Well, it may sound a little cheesy, but sometimes, Google comes through! I found this website – How to Be Thankful in Six Steps – and it is a great guide to becoming someone who can be present, mindful, and ultimately thankful for all life offers! Just like the skills we practice in CrossFit, thankfulness is a skill as well, and any skill needs technique and practice. Here’s to spending a moment or two to take stock of all we have and learning to appreciate it!
