Posterior Chain, and Getting to Know that Person Lying in a Puddle of Their Own Sweat Next to You….

I wanted to give a HUGE shout-out to Angela and Mike Black for the fabulous party they hosted this weekend, and to tell all of you what a truly incredible time I had hanging out with folks from WCCF (and meeting new friends!) outside the gym!  The day was lovely, the food (paleo and not-so-paleo) was delicious and the beverages were plentiful (seriously one of the best-stocked bars I’ve had the pleasure of raiding!).

It got me thinking – we need to do MORE of this! More parties, more meet-ups, more pot-lucks, more socializing and chatting and getting to know each other enough to know what each others’ favorite ice cream flavor is (chocolate peanut-butter)!

How best to go about it, though?? I propose that we utilize the blog as the tool for all-things Social Club oriented. And I’m going to work on getting a location in the box determined where you all can write up or post social invitations without fear of them being erased by an errant wall ball. So, if you are thinking of hosting a party, or going to a happy hour, or joining a race/run/triathlon/punkin chunkin competition, send those events on to me, and I will collate them all together and include them in my Tuesday blog post.

Let’s really do this and spend time with people that we already know we have at least one thing in common with! Bring it on, folks!

Deadlift- 15 Minutes to Find 1 RM (see 6-/26, 6/18)

Weighted Walking Lunges – 2 Sets of 20 (10/side) with plate overhead (med-heavy weight, rest 30-60 seconds between sets)

WOD: 5 Sets of:
1 Minute to Complete* 30 KB Swings (70/44)
1 minute OFF

*if unable to complete 30 swings in a minute, 5 Burpee penalty per round missed.
