“CrossFit Keeps Me Motivated!”

Today’s Member Spotlight is focused on Hilary Wendel. Hilary is all heart, and one of the hardest working CrossFitters I’ve seen! Recently, she has taken it upon herself to spend more time working on her CrossFit practice, and the results are plain to see! It’s an inspiration to see someone set specific goals and work their glutes off to obtain them, and I’m so proud to have her as a WCCF family member!

Take it away Hilary!

Age: mid 40’s, I lose track…

Occupation: Stay at Home Mom for now…

Started CrossFit: In Tokyo, Japan, May 2011

Why I Chose CrossFit: As a “hand holder” I signed up for it with a friend who wanted to try it, and was immediately hooked (some would say obsessed). I love that there is a positive competitive component and I love the community.  It keeps me motivated!

Other Hobbies: Not many hobbies that I get to, 3 kids keep me running around,  but when I can, I enjoy tennis, golf, reading, and eating really good food! I am also the director and primary fundraiser for a school in Bangladesh that my parents founded.

Go-to WOD Song: I like it loud and fast.   Party Rock, by LMFAO.  Levels by Avicii.  I would be into hearing more of the Irish Punk songs by Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys.

Thanks Hilary! I personally LOVE Irish Punk (having been introduced to it by my off-the-boat Irish husband), so I will be happy to play it for you anytime you’re in my class!
