CrossFit in the Real World

This weekend my sister and I ran the Emerald Across the Bay 12K in San Francisco. It was an incredibly beautiful day to run, and an incredible route. We started from Sausalito, made our way across the Golden Gate Bridge, wound through Crissy Field and finished at Aquatic Park. We so enjoyed our time together, and were excited to do the run on St. Paddy’s Day!

Why am I telling you all this? It’s because going into this race, I had done exactly ZERO training for it. No 3-, 4-, or 6-mile runs, no racking up mileage for weeks on end. I ONLY did CrossFit, and I not only felt great during the race, but now, two days later, I feel nearly completely recovered! It just goes to show how well CrossFit can prepare you for any eventuality that you run across (sometimes literally) in life!

So, don’t wait to see what CrossFit has done for you – go test yourself and be amazed at what you can do!
