"CrossFit Chose Me" and Split Jerk

Reminder!! Next THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31 we are DRESSING UP IN COSTUME* for the WOD!! It doesn’t have to be fancy or complicated, just do something fun!! The WOD is also Halloween-Related – YAY!!! Hope to see you there in costume!

*50 burpee penalty for not showing up in costume…..

Now, on to other business! Today’s Member Spotlight is Jim Brandt! Jim is a regular 8-am attender, and has had some really amazing changes happen in his life as a result of including CrossFit and the Paleo Lifestyle into his busy schedule. Let’s hear from Jim about his successes!

Occupation: Owner – Napa General Store

Started CrossFit: August 2011

Why I Chose CrossFit: I believe CrossFit chose me. Was seriously just driving down Jackson one day and saw these loons doing crazy stuff in a garage and thought I had to check it out. Since joining CrossFit, and with the help & encouragement of the awesome coaches and my work-out partners, I’ve had to buy a new wardrobe and answer a lot of questions about my “diet” and “strange eating habits”. My general response is that I’m not on a “diet” but have changed my lifestyle. God bless Beth and everyone at Wine Country CrossFit.

Other Hobbies: Hiking. Skiing. Drinking wine & astral projection.

Go-to WOD Song: “If I had a hammer” by Pete Seeger – no, wait it’s “Khatmandu” by Bob Seger. Don’t know how I get them confused.
