Join WCCF Team on Zero Cancer Run
Zero Prostate Cancer Run
According to the CDC, prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer among American men. Join us on September 17 for the Zero Prostate Cancer Run in Kennedy Park. Become a part of the Wine Country CrossFit team to have fun, end prostate cancer, and participate in a great community event. Wine Country CrossFit coaching staff will lead the pre-race warm up, setting a fun and dynamic tone for the day.
We champion this event because it benefits a home-grown cancer-fighting organization that makes a difference in our community. Originally called Daughters For Dads, this not-for-profit group was started by three Napa sisters who lost their father to prostate cancer when he was just 61 years old. Amy, Sarah, and Julie put the energy of their grief and sadness to work when they started a 5K run in 2014 to raise money for a cause near and dear to their hearts. Each year the event has grown, and now they are partnered with Zero Cancer which casts a wider net.
Be confident in supporting this effort. With Zero Cancer, 97% of each dollar actually reaches the cause! Your donation supports the St. Helena Hospital Cancer Center, a major recipient as they provide important services to local men with prostate cancer.
