Whole 30 – Off With A Bang!
18 people attended the Kick Off Meeting on Saturday morning prior to classes. Each person shared why they were there, and what benefits they were looking for via clean eating. Hilary laid out to rules of engagement, including “eat clean” for 30 days or start the process over! She specified what foods are allowed, and clarified that no sweeteners are compliant; no honey, no maple syrup, no xylitol, etc. Do you crave something sweet after dinner? Hilary suggested a frozen date to satisfy that desire!
Beth talked about how to prep food on a daily and weekly basis. She presented how simple it can be to eat this way, as long as extreme hunger is kept at bay. You know, when you’re starving then bread and cheese and ice cream are too tempting to resist.
Hilary will present a few dates for a Whole 30 dinner at the Kitchen Collective where she and husband Chris are members. Kitchen Collective is a wonderful cooking and dining club where people come together to celebrate the bounty of local foods. A chef oversees the prep, but visitors soil their hands with food while helping make the dinner happen.
