Hudson Ranch & Running
Yesterday we visited Hudson Ranch out in Carneros, and it is stunning and pastoral. The road down to the garden is lined with olive trees, and once there the beautiful, tidy rows of veggies extended in front of us. We were warmly welcomed by Lee Hudson and his awesome staff, we sampled their own olive oil, and munched on the sweetest carrots in the world. We even brought home a guinea fowl that had been finished and cleaned that morning. They have free range chickens and guinea fowl for $24 each, and they weigh an average of 5lbs each. They also have hogs butchered to order. Best part, you don’t have to be a CSA member for access to these items, and the Hudson Ranch folks are easy to deal with. For info on poultry and pigs write Spencer@hudsonvineyards.com. For those of you that didn’t get into the CSA before their shares sold out get me your name, and you can be first in line when there is an opening.
In the meantime, happy eating! Beth

We were planning to run three miles on Monday and strength train on Thursday. Because of the rain we switched it up, so get your running feet in order and come on down cuz today we are putting one foot in front of the other!
