Remember when you started at Wine Country CrossFit and we talked about Metabolic Pathways? The first two, Phosphagen and Glycolitic, are the energy systems we primarily use in our workouts here; short bursts of intense exercise followed by periods of work rest in various cycles. Sarah is not that workout. Sarah requires you to work within the Oxidative pathway–the one that we work the least in a general CrossFit workout–and one that is the happy place for all of you longer distance runners out there. It’s still important for the rest of us to test this system so if you fear you won’t finish in time, don’t overthink it–it’s more important that you find a pace that will keep you from stopping and remember to smile. Working out with your people is fun!
