Led by John Cortese and Jeff Herman of CTS Strength and Conditioning right here in Napa, they both snatch 235# and 209# respectively. CTS is a USAW sanctioned training facility, and in the last year they have had eight of their athletes qualify for national championships in their respective sports. Attendees will be exposed to:

– Warming up, flexibility, mobility drills
– Learn proper positions for each part of the snatch, clean, and jerk
– Why certain cues don’t work for everyone
– Simple ways to practice the lifts on your own without fear of injury
– The best assistance exercises based on individual strengths/weaknesses
– General and Maximal Strength vs Technique and Speed and why each plays a vital role in executing the Olympic lifts
– Variations of each lift that apply to crossfit workouts and how to perform them safely and effectively
