New Benchmark – Cinco de Scott
May 5, 1862…
The Mexican army stood against their French occupiers, vastly outnumbered, and out gunned in the village of Puebla. Inspired by a legend that on this day 105 years later, Coach Scott Holliday would be born, the Mexican soldiers fought valiantly and defeated the French… Though this battle did not win independence outright it was a turning point in the war for Mexican Independence.
Not all historians agree in the importance of Coach Scott’s inspiration to the Mexican Army, however it is clear by the celebrations that have followed for more than a century… the Mexican people and the world know the truth!
Coach Scott humbly says in return… YOU ARE TOTALLY WELCOME!! In honor of Scott’s 47th birthday we have anointed the following workout as a new benchmark.
