Last Days Of The Decade
As of Wednesday we are officially into the Roaring 20’s. What are you doing to take stock of not only the last year, but all that you accomplished in the last decade?
Often the eve of the New Year is full of our intentions and resolutions. But it’s only by taking the time to acknowledge all that has passed, including both our challenges and successes, that we make room for what is to come.
Think all the way back to 2010 and all that transpired between then and now. Take some time over the next couple days to sit down and make a list. Write down all of your of challenges and accomplishments from 2019 and then from the entire decade. Write down the first things that come to mind, then reflect on them one at a time. It is in this exercise that we can find a deep sense of gratitude for where we are now and we can carry that attitude of gratitude forward into the new year and decade.
This is a great way to let go of the past, appreciate all that it has taught us and clear the way for the new. Then we can identify what intentions we want to set going forward. Whether that be a fitness goal or a personal goal that has fallen off to the wayside far too long, focus on you and what makes you the happiest, as we close the door on the 2010s.
