Deload Week
Deload week starts on Tuesday, September 3.
A deload is a period of time in which you take things easier in the gym by lifting lighter weights or reducing your training volume. Deloads typically last a week and encourage recovery before another period of harder training with heavier loading.
We just completed a 12 week cycle in which we saw substantial gains. Now it’s time to let the body recover and rebuild.
I know ya’ll are CrossFitters and you LOVE to work hard. But listen-up: It’s time to let the body rest!
Fight the urge to keep going hard. Follow the program. Mobilize and move. You’ll be amazed how READY you are to start the next 12 week cycle that will start on Sept 9.
Back Squats on Monday will be replaced with Deadlifts. Bench Press on Wednesdays will succumb to the Strict Press. We will continue to work on the Snatch on Tuesdays and the C&J on Thursdays. Fridays are a mix of body building, accessory work and cardio training.
This week we ask that you pull in the reigns on yourself. Come in. Warm up. Loosen up. Prepare for the next cycle.
