A Purist Reconsiders, Cleans & Prowlers
I am a purist. I have always believed that pills and powders and gimmicks and fads were just that, passing fancies at best. When you felt cooked after a workout you had to eat and drink. If you want to lose weight then eat less and do more. There is no magic in pills or powders. Just work hard was my motto.
We are surrounded by promises in the CrossFit world of faster recovery, less soreness, etc. I’ve been CrossFitting now for almost 9 years, and finally my purist principles have been put to the test: I felt like CRAP after a WOD last week so I drank one of the Kill Clif Recovery drinks. Guess what? It worked! I actually felt better and less hosed after I consumed the carbonated beverage. The workout was beyond what I should have done, but I didn’t want to let my partner down, so I kept going until I was delirious. I was even stumbling around afterwards like a drunk, and Kill Clif helped me calm down and walk straighter.
The names of the flavors are kinda goofy, but the proof is in the pudding. That stuff works. Try it out!
