Wine Country CrossFit

The CrossFit Community is stepping up to keep local affiliates doors open and help those in need during this time of uncertainty. There has been some confusion as there are actually 2 separate competitions starting tomorrow, 4/3/2020.

CrossFit HQ has organized a competition called, “Support Your Box”. This competition is one workout per week for 3 weeks and is free to register with an option to donate $20 or a custom amount. By signing up under your Affiliate, Wine Country CrossFit, your contribution will come directly back to the box. The workouts use minimal equipment and are for all skill levels. Registration is open now and stays open for the duration of the competition. Register at games.crossfit.com/open using your Crossfit.com login, which you would have established if you have participated in the Open. The first workout will be released tomorrow, 4/3/2020.

United in Movement is a 7 day, 7 workout online competition. This fundraising effort was organized by Matt O’Keefe who is responsible for competitions such as Wodapalooza and Granite Games. The movement has the support of several games athletes such as, Matt Fraser and Tia Clair-Toomey. Registration is free but open to donations. “The funds raised will assist humanitarian and relief efforts across the globe, as well as fitness related small businesses & local gyms. ” You can register at https://competitioncorner.net/events/3773.

United in Movement kicks off with a 24 Hour live stream broadcast on Friday, April 3rd at 5pm PT. The live stream will include “live workouts with elite athletes, interviews with leaders, gym-owners and coaches, mobility demos and stretching sessions, healthy cooking how to’s, podcasts, stories from around the world, unique ways to stay active while isolating, and even some live music!” Daily workouts will be announced live at 3PM PT.
