One Rep Max Schedule
Week 1 of 2020 is coming to a close. This is the perfect time to take a look at where we are now, so we can see where we want to go.
As we grow and progress in our fitness, its important that we keep track of our progress and set intentional goals of where we want to be 3, 6, 9, or even 12 months from now. One of the things that makes CrossFit, CrossFit is our methodology which requires that what we do be “measurable, observable and repeatable.” This is why we have “benchmark” lifts and workouts; so we can measure, repeat and observe the progress we have made over time.
Nothing is more motivating than taking a glance back and seeing how far you’ve come or even hitting a new personal record (PR), which as many found out today could happen over the next 2 weeks as we find our 1 rep maxes.
Monday, we did the Snatch and we will continue to test a lift every other day for the next 2 weeks. See the schedule below. Make sure you are recording your lifts in SugarWod or your own app or record book, so you can go back and compare when we retest.
Come relaxed and prepared to test yourself, support each other and have fun, this is what its all about!
Monday 1/6: Snatch
Wednesday 1/8: Clean & Jerk
Friday 1/10: Back Squat
Monday 1/13: Deadlift
Wednesday 1/15: Bench Press
Friday 1/17: Strict Press
